Junior center Olivier Sarr scored a career-high 25 points before fouling out, and Brandon Childress made a series of key late-game plays as host Wake Forest upset No. 7 Duke 113-101 in double overtime Tuesday night in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Chaundee Brown added 24 points as the Demon Deacons (12-15,5-12 Atlantic Coast Conference) knocked off a ranked team for the second time this season.

It was the second time in seven nights that Duke lost a road game to an in-state opponent, including North Carolina State's 22-point victory last Wednesday night in Raleigh.

Childress, who didn't make a field goal until late in regulation, finished with 17 points, and teammates Isaiah Mucius and Jahcobi Neath had 16 points apiece.

Wendell Moore Jr. scored 25 points and Tre Jones finished with 24 points for Duke (23-5, 13-4), which failed to regain a share of first place in the league with Florida State.

Cassius Stanley had 14 points, Matthew Hurt added 12 points and Vernon Carey Jr. had 10 points and for Duke. Jones added nine assists and seven rebounds, and Carey also finished with seven boards.

Childress' three-point play gave the Demon Deacons a 92-88 edge in the final minute of the first overtime. Jones tied the game at 97-97 on a pair of free throws with 6.6 seconds to go in overtime.

Wake Forest forced the first overtime on Childress' 3-pointer with 18 seconds to play. It was his first field goal after going 0-for-10.

The Blue Devils, who never led in the first half, broke free for a 55-46 edge in the first 6 1/2 minutes of the second half. They increased the lead as they made seven of their first 12 shots after halftime.

Carey picked up his fourth foul with 10:04 remaining. Teammate Javin DeLaurier was called for his fourth just 23 seconds later.

Wake Forest cut a 12-point hole to 62-56 before Hurt's 3-pointer for Duke. Then Duke's Justin Robinson was called for his fourth foul with 6:19 to play.

Andrien White's 3-pointer for Wake Forest cut the gap to 69-65.

Carey fouled out with 3:49 to go in regulation, with Neath making one free throw to close the spread to 71-66. Hurt converted a three-point play off Jones' airball with 1:59 to go.

Sarr's dunk made it 79-76 with 31.7 seconds left before the final flurry.

Duke won 90-59 in the first meeting of the season last month, but this matchup had a different tone.

Wake Forest went up 32-20, and three Duke players had two fouls apiece.

Robinson, a seldom-used reserve and son of former NBA star David Robinson, sparked Duke with a series of plays, and then Jones' 3-pointer at the buzzer forged a 39-39 score at the break.

Wake Forest was 15-for-19 on free throws in the first half. The Demon Deacons made their only two 3-point attempts in the half.

Duke had won 11 consecutive meetings in the series.
