Graduate transfer Jalen Coleman-Lands, a 6-foot-4 guard, said Saturday that he'll play the 2020-21 season at Iowa State.
He started his career in 2015 at Illinois, then transferred to DePaul, where he played in nine games in the 2018-19 season as he recovered from leg surgery. Last season, he started all 32 games, averaging 11.1 points.
Coming out of La Lumiere High School in Indiana, Coleman-Lands was ranked as a four-star prospect and the nation's No. 9 point guard by the 247Sports composite.
He earlier announced on Instagram that he had narrowed his transfer choices to Iowa State, Michigan, North Carolina State, Cal and Southern California.
As a graduate transfer, Coleman-Lands will be eligible to play next season.
The Cyclones finished the 2019-20 season with a 12-20 record, 5-13 in Big 12 play.
