Artificial Intelligence is finding more and more applications in our lives. And while previously it was thought that AI could perform mainly computational tasks, today it is increasingly used in the creative sphere as well.
Thus, PerseiLine specialists taught a neural network to create product designs for animals. And then they defended the design created by the artificial intelligence according to the NFT technology.
Not only a well-trained specialist can develop interesting designs, but also the artificial intelligence. PerseiLine, a pet products company, trained a neural net to generate design ideas based on its own catalogs as well as a database of patterns related to pet products. The machine was trained on 1,800 pictures, most of which were graphic patterns.
The artificial intelligence had two tasks. The first was to learn how to create textures in which elements do not match each other. The second was to learn to identify similar elements from different pictures and draw them in a unique style. As the company admits, originally they expected a completely different style of execution. But the designs that the AI began to create turned out to be really interesting and unusual.
In order to protect authorship, the pattern from the neural network was turned into a digital asset by NFT (digital cryptographic certificate) technology.«Anyway, there's going to come a time soon when most designers will start using AI in the design process. We just did it a little earlier in our field than others,» notes Alexander Burov, chief manager of PerseiLine.
